flyExclusive Supports Life-Saving Work through Ongoing Partnership with AeroAngel
Company provided a private jet flight home for a four-year-old child after novel heart transplant at Duke University Hospital
KINSTON, N.C.—flyExclusive, Inc. (NYSEAMERICAN: FLYX) (“flyExclusive” or the “Company”), a publicly-traded provider of premium private jet charter experiences, today announced that it donated a private flight to Andrew, 4, of Firth, Nebraska and his family after he received a partial heart transplant at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. The flight was operated on May 16 and represents flyExclusive’s ongoing commitment to AeroAngel, a unique aviation charity that provides free transportation, primarily to children, traveling to distant, life-saving medical care.
“We recognize the important, life-saving work that AeroAngel does and we’re honored to be able to contribute to it,” said Matthew Lesmeister, Chief Operating Officer of flyExclusive. “Our company was founded with the belief that we’re part of a larger cause and have the power to make a positive impact on the world. We’re proud to be able to use our fleet to bring critical medical services to the children and families who need it.”
A private jet flight home for Andrew and his parents will ensure that he is protected from contagions prevalent in busy airports and on crowded commercial airline flights.
“For Andrew, with his challenging post-transplant condition, a private jet flight home protecting him from the general public is critical to his health and recovery and the safest travel option,” said Mark Pestal, Founder and Executive Director of AeroAngel. “AeroAngel’s unique mission is to offer access to lifesaving medical care for seriously ill children by removing the barrier of long-distance travel to a children’s hospital when commercial air travel is not a safe option.”
AeroAngel’s unique mission is to help seriously ill children access distant, lifesaving medical care on private business jet flights provided at no cost to their families. The flights are donated to children who cannot safely travel on a commercial airline flight and who do not need an air ambulance.
The partnership, which launched in 2022, has resulted in 40 trips and 55 legs thus far. flyExclusive also gives Jet Club members the opportunity to donate tax-deductible funds or flight hours to provide flights for AeroAngel children on flyExclusive’s aircraft.
